Mobile Ordnance Impact Scoring System
This is a “trailerised” system that provides highly accurate scoring support to defence forces' live firing exercises. Using C-E Solutions Vigil-i capability as the basic infrastructure, it is designed to be easily and quickly deployed to remote areas. The system utilises geo-referenced video capture to spot and score ordnance (such as bombs, artillery round, rockets or missiles) impacts. The system provides vital support to warfighter training.
In late 2008, C-E Solutions installed its bomb scoring solution (called Hawk-I) in a new air weapons range in Northern Queensland. In response to an urgent request from Defence, C-E Solutions subsequently designed and built a mobile variant, with a wider range of capabilities and able to deliver even better performance than the fixed system.
The system was used for test and evaluation services of ordnance delivery from a new aircraft capability for the Australian Army. The mobile ordnance impact scoring system is unique.
